Hi, I'm just starting with HT. I am willing to pay up to 4k for a good system, I live in Canada, prices are a bit higher than the US.

I currently have a pioneer vsx-1027-k, I wanted all the junk technology it offers such as airplay, network etc.. I just bought a pair of Kef Q100, used as front for now but will move in the back. I also have a cheap subwoofer Energy and it does a good job for now.

Now I wanted to stick with Kef but some suggest I would get better bang for the buck with Jbl? As for Klipsch, I am not really interested. My room has a good size, 20 by 20. I would like to stick with one brand except for the woofer.

Any suggestion? It will be used 50/50 for ht and music.

Thanks

I say get 2 KEF Q300 + Q600C or Q200C + dual subs from Funk, SVS, Rythmik, HSU, PSA, etc.

I say ascend towers and horizon center with an HSU vtf3 dual drive, for just a smidge over $4000 you wont find a better set up (IMO) of course... I say that setup cant be beat for 2-3 times its cost....
