Help Appreciated: Yamaha HTR-6063 onscreen overlay leaving image

I have a Yamaha HTR-6063, with not changes to my system recently, not new connections/disconnections etc.

A few days back when use the volume control the volume DB -/+ volume level does not show up, only the black box and some static residue as shown below in the linked image. After the change in volume the normal black box disappears and the static on the bottom right stays. However if i push the onscreen button on my remote to bring up options and press again it goes away.

I have my Computer, Sat, PS3, and wii setup as input from the front buttons. It does this at regardless of the input selected. I have all inputs into my amp and then one HDMI to the TV (panasonic Plasma)

If it just started recently, I'd say it could be a sign of worse things go come.. Where is your receiver located? Any chance that it has been getting too hot? Maybe needs a good cleaning if it's getting dusty...?
