All,

I'm brand new to this forum. However, I've done plenty of research within this thread and while most of you recommend 5.1.4 for a home theater setup, every room and system is unique. Therefore, I wanted to share with you my system, as well as the specifications to my living room.

I have the following:
  • LG 65" OLED 4K TV
  • Denon AVR-X6400H
  • 2x Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-260F Front Speakers
  • 1x Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-440C Center Channel Speaker
  • 2x Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-250S Surround Speakers
  • 1x Klipsch Reference R-112SW Powered Subwoofer
  • 4x Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-140SA Atmos Speakers

Now for the setup itself, my front speakers support Bi-Amp connections, which I will be utilizing. The receiver is an 11.2 CH capable setup, and I'll plan on using 4 of the channels for the front speakers. The real question I'm dealing with is whether to setup the home theater system utilizing a 7.1.2 or a 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos setup. As the ceilings are angled (and I'm renting the house), I'm unable to mount ceiling speakers which is why I went with the Klipsch RP-140SA. However, I can mount two of those speakers right above ear level to my left and right for a 7.1.2 setup. The other option I have is putting all four Atmos speakers on top of the two fronts and two surrounds respectively.

As for my couch and speaker locations, I've followed both the Dolby website for angles from listener, as well as Crutchfield for recommended sitting distance for a 4K TV (8'). Looking forward to your comments and I'm sorry for a duplicate post!
