I am thinking of buying the Denon avr-3808ci and am intrigued by the radio Denon internet music. Does anyone know where I could see a station list? Denon won't let you register without owning the product.

Any feedback or opinions on that particular model and possibly recommendations on something better in the price range would be appreciated also.

I too have the Denon avr-3808ci on my radar screen. Along with the Onkyo TX-NR905S, Yamaha RX-V3800 Receiver, and the Pioneer Elite VSX-94TXH Receiver. I own a recently purchased Mitsubishi 60" HDTV and am ready to begin building a home entertainment system. I have USB via Cat5e cable access from my computer network (also wireless)to take advantage of my music collection stored on my computer and internet radio. I'm looking for a receiver that will grow with me. Help is appreciated.

being set for around 7 years as far as technology is concerned is something that is important to me. i will be buying a 50" plasma and receiver in the next week or so and want them to be sufficient to get me through until at least 2015.

i am also interested to know whether or not the rs-232 can be utilized by consumers for configuration on any of the receivers in zahnmann's post. i love my harmony remotes pc connectivity and something like that for a receiver would be awesome.

After extensive research I have found that the most important thing for me will be good up scaling. There is a lot of talk about the hqv reon chip in onkyo products vs. the apparently inferior faroudja chip in the Denon products. I am worried about the fact that onkyos tx-sr875 doesn’t have the ability to upgrade firmware, as opposed to the Denon avr-3808ci. How big of a deal is firmware upgradability compared to the better video chip?
