Height speakers for Denon 4500/JBL 5 series

Because I am bored and have nothing but time on my hands so I now want to add front and maybe surround height speakers to my HT.
The JBL 530’s IMO are too large physically for height speakers.
How important, other than aesthetic, is it to use the same speakers ?
if I get out of the JBL line, what speakers would you recommend?

I've got a coupla pair of speakers I've considered front height for (7.1/9.1 style) but only experimented once. I didn't like it at that time compared to rear surrounds, but I only had the 7ch processing option at that time. I do have a more capable avr now but just haven't bothered with the heights, don't think they're worth the installation hassle from what I've gathered but think about it now and then just as something to do.
