I am looking for a reasonably priced pair of head phones. These will be used only for working out. So I need something durable that will handle a little moisture/sweat if it gets on the speaker. My budget is no more than about $25. Any advice.

Thanks

Jeff

Other alternatives: Koss KSC55 and Koss Sporta Pro

Each model comes with a lifetime warranty.

Do they offer solid comparisons that are of the "plug" style that would also compare well in price and performance? My initial question was likely a little on the vague side.

Thanks

If you're looking for headphones you may want to check out this thread over at head-fi, it has a remarkably comprehensive list of phones broken into price categories.

Sony MDR-EX71SL Fontopia In-The-Ear Headphones (Black)

I've used a pair similar to these for several years (running, sweating, walking, etc) without any problems. Of note, these are recommended by Linkwitz also.

I have to take my recommendation back on the MDR-EX71SL. I ordered a pair and found the sensitivity to be much too low (only with my headphone amplifier was I able to get decent / loud volume). Perhaps I got a bad pair but I won't order another. I only paid $17 through Amazon so no great loss however.

The next pair I'm considering are recommended by the good Dr. Geddes:

Altec Lansing UHP336 Snugfit In-ear Earphone

A bit out of your requested price range however. I'd still look into other Sony Fontopia models however for a perhaps cheaper model if you're still looking...
