You have been banned for the following reason:
Consistent troll-like behaviour

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

Lawl.

I got sick of the large amount of B.S. there, mostly contributed by the famous Patrick82.

Unfortunatley, I will not be buying metal resonating tea cups for my room, but will now be more active on this forum, darn...

hes an advertiser, so the customer is always right. The vast majority of boards are obviously snakeoil playgrounds... you know that... stop playing with matches. Just read the music forums.

I was also banned from that forum. I merely taunted a moderator about his extreme politically correct speech, where he described in depth how it is wrong to refer to audio gear as a 'she' in depth, as it supposedly is insulting to women to be compared with an audio device. For example, this would probably qualify as violation of the moderator's orders: "The curves of the _______ model ____ amplifier were curvaceous and sexy, like a woman, almost."

-Chris

Note: You will not find the post for which I was banned. It was deleted by the moderator, leaving no evidence or obvious reason for which I was banned.

That forum is retarded.

We don't do DBTs because we don't like them, we don't need to prove anything to you......blah, blah, blah.

You would think that at least one of them would want to prove it, but not a sole.:D

That certainly seems to be the consensus...except for ahab. What's up with that?

I have never visited the forum, and have no interest in doing so after reading the opinions here (except for ahab's).

Patrick82's profile has that same picture of a puppet, only with a set of cans on its head.:D

The Head-Fi forum does have a useful purpose. If you are, for example, looking for a headphone, it is very useful. You can, with some degree of reliability, pick a headphone to try based on tonal balance comparison to another headphone for which you are familiar, if you base this on a large sample number of user opinions to gain some level of statistical value. However, only rely on tonal balance vs. a known reference. Never rely on any absolute determination by most users; the are primarily without a clue. For example, this would be a useful type of statement(if shared by a large number of users): "X headphone has what seems to be a higher level of low bass as compared to headphone Y."

But most of the stuff discussed on that forum appears to me to be useless, and quite often, fictitious.

I do go to some of the bigger physical headphone meetings, however, as a matter of relaxation. I do not argue or attempt to correct these people at meetings; I go for recreational purposes, and to listen to the latest high-end headphones.

I understand that, and it does have its place. The problem is how narrow they are.;)

Also, I like my receiver, she sure it heavy though. Maybe she should go on a class D diet.:D
