HDMI versions 1.0 and 1.1 ???

Can someone please tell me what this is all about? When i did the firmware upgrade on my Denon 2910, there was some mention of these versions being different and 1.1 has something to do with a change with DVD audio. Do I still use the analog connections for DVD A?? How do i know if i have 1.0 or 1.1, or is there a 1.2?

Each version adds features and is supposed to be backwards compatable with the older versions; ie you can use a device that supports 1.0 with a device that supports 1.1 (you just won't be able to use the new features added for 1.1). 1.2 is not official yet so there are no devices that use it yet.

Thanks MDS. I am still unsure what the different versions are. If i upgraded my Denon 2910 with the latest firmware, will it be 1.1? Or is it the actual cable you use that differentiates between versions?

How does it effect DVD-A?
