I just built a hometheater (My First One) and I have a 50 ft HDMI to DVI cord running from my Optoma HD7100 to my Yamaha RX-V2700. My projector is not getting the signal. I know that it must be the cord because a shorter cord is working fine however a shorter cord will not be ideal for my setup. Any help? PLEASE HELP.

50ft is the limit of what is possible with HDMI. Blue Jeans cable call HDMI a "rats nest". I have worse words to describe it. It has been forced down our throats by the absolute sewers inhabiting Hollywood.

You need BJC-Series 2 cable HDMI to DVI available from Blue Jeans cable. Price is $96.

If that does not work, you will need a repeater/booster from Gefen. That will cost you $199.

Welcome to one of Hollywood's many consumer frauds and rip offs. The spec distance for HDMI is 15 ft, by the way!

If you use the forum search you will see quite a few posts about HDMI.

Try these:
BJC Series-1 Belden Bonded-Pair HDMI Cables.
HDMI cables at Blue Jeans Cable.

Excellent quality and price. I've bought from them several times, as have many members here, and they make a great product. Call them and they will help you into the least expensive option that will work for you.
