HDMI to digital coax

Just got new soundbar. Input connections are HDMI and optical.
RCA LCD is 8 yrs old. No HDMI arc. All HDMIs appear to only be input sources. It has analog audio out and 1 digital coax audio out.

can someone please direct me to a cable or converter for Digital coax to Hdmi ?

I already tried an analog to hdmi converter.. didn’t work.

If the TV really has no ARC labeled HDMI port, a coaxial to optical converter would work to get audio from the TV to the soundbar but only if the TV supports outputting audio of externally connected devices in the first place. Do you have the manual and model number of your set?

Tv is from 2008ish. It’s an rca led46a55r120q.

Trebdp... that link does look promising. Thank you.
Question... the sound bar says if you don’t have hdmi arc, to connect both the optical and hdmi to any port on the tv. See photo. Is that necessary? If all my hdmi are source input, I don’t see how that would help. Guess that’s why I’ve been searching for the hdmi solution .. but it sounds like you are saying I can ignore the hdmi and just do optical input solution, right ?

Yes, since you do not have ARC you can just use the optical input on the soundbar. Once connected, go into TV sound settings and set the TV digital audio output to RAW rather than PCM for DD 5.1 output.
