I hope you can help .... with hooking up SACD/DVDA/BluRay player .... when one has an option to use HDMI vs Analog 7.1 connection .... which one will sound best???

That depends on your speakers, room, and tastes.
Many swear by Audyssey XT32 and dynamic equalization.
I use an BDP-105D as my preamp and it suits me fine.
Cambridge Audio Azur is built on an Oppo platform with some changes to the analog stage.
At that price you might want to consider the Oppo 105 and 105D.
