My Marantz receiver arrived today. Unfortunately, there is issues with HDMI. I am not getting any picture or sound. I am using Marantz 6001, PS3, and Optoma HD70. The receiver works fine with my CD player. Sounds great after calibration. Just not working on the HT side.

Is it just a firmware issues with one of these item? I haven't upgrade anything for my PS3 for over 2 years. I don't know if Accessories4less upgrade the refurbished Marantz 6001. What should I be looking for to solve my issue. Thank you.

Hi. Make sure that you've assigned the proper HDMI input to the source that you're using on the receiver. Also, make sure that the receiver isn't set to digital ("DIG") or analog ("ANA") mode for that input. That's all explained on page 29 of the owner's manual if it doesn't sound familiar.

If you've already done that, please let us know and we can look a bit more into this.

Thanks....it was an assigned issue. Yeah, I read the damn manual but it wasn't enough for me to understand what I was doing wrong. I kept on assigning the DVD player to 1 when I was suppose to assign AUX to 1. I thought that my PS3 would be under "DVD"...guess not. Called up Marantz and they told me to assign the "DVD" too....turns out it was the AUX that I needed to assign for my PS3 to work as a DVD player.
