HDMI DVD player recommendations?

What is a good, affordable HDMI DVD player? Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, and Panasonic have them in the $200-$300 range....Denon makes some aswell, but are more expensive....

If I have an HDMI compatible TV, any recommendations on a good DVD player?

Try one of the Blu-Ray Disc players - they will out perform any upconverting DVD player on the market.

Or, you could just get a $100.00 progressive scan DVD player and let your TV make it look awesome through the internal scalers which is what your TV is designed to do.

I do not believe the hype of upconverting POS DVD players. DVDs aren't HD - they are 480 lines of information. If your TV is worth anything, it will do an awesome job of displaying it.

Panasonic S97. Hard to find, but great dvd player.

I have heard there is alot of technology coming out soon.....is it better just to wait a few months to a year?
