I am getting ready to purchase either a 37 or 42 Panasonic PHD8UK. One thing that isn't clear to me is whether I need an HDMI (or DVI) card to insert. In fact, I'm not even sure what it does.
I'm connecting to New York City Time Warner Cable HD/DVR Box, a Harmon Kardon AVR 120 Tuner and a DVD/CD Player. I think the TWC HD box has a HDMI output.
Does the HDMI card provide a better picture to the amateur eye?
If I don't use the card, what special connectors will I need?
