HDMI cable

I received my new OPPO 980H DVD player last week from Amazon, they had a special and I got an extra HDMI cable in the mail today, after playing the Oppo 980H for a few days, are there any difference in the quality of these HDMI cables. the one I got today is an IMPACT Accustics brand, can one see a difference from different cables.

AFAICT, no, but with a qualifier. The longer the length, the thicker the conductors should be. If they are adequate for the length, there should be no difference.

Keep that in mind when you see fantastic claims made for some outrageously priced cables.

With short runs I don't think you will see much difference between decent HDMI cables. I did see one thread where one person got their Oppo and the cable included in the box was bad, but I've never had a problem with the cables from them.
