HDMI Cable question

Hi all,
I have a question on HDMI. I have a Mit's 62 inch DLP and am connecting a Dish Network 622 reciever to the TV. Currently, it's connected with Component (RGB) cables. I bought an HDMI cable from Monoprice and connected the dish reciever via the HDMI cable. The picture was not nearly as good with the HDMI cable as with the composite cable...Am I missing something or should this be the case. I was under the impression that if I use HDMI the picture would be better...

Thanks

Mark

Did you configure the output over HDMI from the Dish box? It isn't going to make average looking channels look any better to be honest.

I agree, it is the high definition channels where you should expect to see an improvement from component to HDMI, or at the least they should be equal. I've got inexpensive Monoprice HDMI cables and they work great by the way.
