HDMI audio takes a few minutes to be available on receiver

I have 3 devices (Roku Ultra, Blu-ray player and game console) connected to the HDMI inputs of my Yamaha receiver and the HDMI out goes out to a Samsung TV that does not support ARC so I have HDMI control Off and HDMI Audio out Off.

When I first turn on my the receiver, there is no audio signal coming in from any of the HDMI inputs, but the video signals work fine. After a few minutes I start hearing crackle and popping noises from the speakers and I start to see Dolby Digital + or DTS-HD Master 7.1 flickering on the receiver display (depending on the inpuit). Eventually the noises stop and the signal is solid and there are no more issues until I turn off the receiver for the night and start again the next day.

The HDMI cables from the devices to the receiver are good 3ft cables and HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV is 10ft and unknown quality (it has Dish logo on it).

I have tried powering on the receiver, devices and TV in different orders but did not notice any difference.

Does anyone have insights on what may be causing this issue and how to resolve or troubleshoot further? It feels like the receiver needs to "warm up" before the hdmi audio signal works. I've read posts about HDMI and DHCP handshake but not convinced this applies to me since the video signal work fine. I can try replacing the HDMI cable between the TV and receiver but it is going to be a pain since the cable is inside the wall and I may have to unmount the TV. I'm also not convinced it is that cable since it is only used to carry video signal to the TV and I can't see it being responsible for the audio signal not coming across from the inputs.
