Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can help with this.
I have a Panasonic TX-32LMD70A and a Panasonic SC-PT450 DVD. They work fine together over scart but not over HDMI. With a HDMI cable plugged in (no scart as the manual says), I can access the TV's AV selection menu from the DVD's remote but that's all. There's no video, no audio and I can't even access the DVD's menu.
I thought his might be a cable issue - and it might! - but, as I understand it, as HDMI passes digital signals, even a cheap cable should work as long as it's the proper type. The cable I'm using is a PREMIUM HDMI to HDMI 24K GOLD PLATED CABLE 1.5m CORE *2 from Amazon:

It has a lot of happy users. The Panasonic manual makes a big thing of saying non-HDMI cables won't work and they need to be "fully wired".
Essentially, neither the TV nor the DVD menus acknowledge the fact that there's a HDMI connection.
I don't mind buying a Panasonic cable if it'll work but I came across this thread:

where the guy seems to be having the same problem and a Panasonic cable didn't work for him. Like him, I keep getting an error from the TV regarding the Viera Link saying "Feature not available".
Anyone any ideas?
