So, I have Denon AVR-X5200 receiver.
This is only HDMI 2.0...
Can a firmware update make this work as a HDCP 2.2?

In a perfect world - maybe, in the real however a definite - no. Denon did a similar trick - adding/swapping a card (for extra $ of course, not free firmware) but only for top-end models like AVP-A1HDCI
