OK i just picked up an HD-XA2 that is upgraded with the latest firmware 1.3 at least i think thats the last update and i am getting picture drop of with the HDMI. My CAble is quite long at 35 feet and has a HDMI to M1 connector at the end going to my Dell 4100MP projector. I have my componet cable hooked up so i dont loose my picture all together but with the HDMI its good for a few minutes and then it just drop of and my projector searches for the signal. What do you guys think is it the player the projector the cables im going to move the player over to the projector to see if that helps and just keep eliminating things from there. Any help you guys provide would be greatly appreciated thanks again.

If possible, I would move the player much closer for a test with a shorter cable to see if that brand of cable you have in 35ft length is at fault or not.
Some long HDMI cables just cannot handle high bandwidth signals.
If not the cable, not sure at this point.
