Audioholics,

Due to a ongoing dispute between my cable company and my local Fox affiliate, I cannot get Fox HD via my cable package. However, I can get Fox HD via an over-the-air signal.

Currently, I have a HD television & HD projector neither of which has an HD tuner. I shudder at the thought of going through another NFL football season watching standard definition Fox.

Therefore, I need to purchase an HD terrestrial tuner. Does anyone have any recommendations? (the only one I can seem to find is the Samsung SIRT451)

I would prefer the most cost effective solution possible. (It only has to work for one damn channel) I'm considering a re-furbished one.....has anyone gone this route?

Lastly, will I need to purchase a digital antenna as well?

Any comments or insight would be extremely helpful.

Thanks,
E

Unfortunately there's no inexpensive solution for the HD tuner. A refurb may be a possibility. You will need an HD antenna as well.
