HD on HDNET Movies?

I was about to cancel my "Platinum HD" package with Dish network when I noticed they are showing one of my favorite movies coming on this month "Once upon a time in the West". They are also showing "Unforgiven" this month so I decided to wait until the end of the month. Anyway this got me to thinking. Are there movies just upscaled from a DVD copy or are they actually creating these from the master copy? Just wondering because I know Once...West is not on BluRay.

Networks never use DVDs nor BDs as their source material for broadcasts. HDNet does not upscale stuff, they use 1080i material exclusively, I believe. The hi-def movies they show are created from the master copy.
