A friend of mine works at Wal-Mart and he told me that the HD-A2 will be remaining at $99.00 from now on if it's sold in Wal-Mart. He says the they will deffinitely have some for Black Friday too. Maybe it's just his Wal-Mart, but that is what he told me and he's an honest guy. So, if you missed it the first time like I did the AV gods have given you a second chace.

This is not correct on the national level for sure - as their website has had the A2 back in stock and it was back at $199 or so. The $99 special was reported as a one day sale and has been acted upon as such.

For sure, this is true with Best Buy and Circuit City as well - at this point.

It is confirmed though that there will be another one day (Black Friday) special on the A2 at this time at Wal-Mart. If it's a Black Friday 'special' it hardly qualifies as a 'permanent' reduction.

Like I said it's just what he told me. So if it doesn't happen then oh well I thought I would just let you guys know so people could be on the look out.

I was in Best Buy tonight and they had the A2 display priced for 99. I asked and the sales guy said they were out but that was now the regular price. The A3 was 199 so maybe they are discontinuing the A2.

But we all know that the HD-A2 is basically a last generation model so Wal-Mart will have them for $99 while supplies last or some such thing.

the A2 is discontinued so walmart won't be getting more.

however, walmart will continue to sell the a2 for $99 as long as they have them. So your friend was partly right
