Here is what I'm trying to accompilsh. One remote, One IR, 3 cable boxes 3 TVs.

I'm installing 3 plasma TVs on one wall. All equipment will be placed in a seperate room. Each TV will have is own HD cable box.

The ?. Can A HD cable box (the silver ones) be re-configured in a matter so I can use one remote without placing 3 IR device all over the room, so as to not change the channel on all TVs at the same time?

So in short I need to configure my remote for 3 seperate TVs associated with 3 seperate cable boxes. Each to be independant of the other.

O yeah I'm getting a remote to do all this. Just not sure what one I want yet.

If you answer yes, a few how to links would be just great.

Thanks............

You can do it with an RF remote with assignable emitters. Each emitter goes to each separate component and you tell the remote which emitter to use when you press a given device button.

Any of the Home Theater Master 'Total Control Series' remotes from Universal Remote in combination with the MRF-250 RF basestation will do what you want.

The remotes that you would need are under the Professional category and include MX-350/650/850.

Does the MRF-250 allow this? I thought you had to use the MRF-300 which allows for assignable IR control.

As said, it's fully possible, the logistics is something I would double check on before purchase.
