Curiosity question

Have a onkyo tx-sr 605 and it outputs around 90 watts per channel. I like to listen to movies loud. In every receiver I have had (mostly 100w per channel), the volume level has usually been in the 40’s or 50’s. With my new receiver, I find myself putting the volume in the upper 60’s or 70’s. Besides the obvious 10 watt difference which I completely understand, I am wondering where any other owners of the onkyo tx-sr 605 set their volume levels. Maybe I need to increase the decibel levels somehow in the receiver. I still haven’t done the audyssey calibration yet.

I know loudness is relative and I don’t mind having the volume in the 70’s, just curious if this is normal for this receiver.

I have the 505, and I'm sure that my room is different, but I find that between 40 and 50 it gets pretty loud. What kind of speakers are you driving with it?
