I felt like sharing a few of my 'reference' tracks. Some you guys may not like at all, some you may. I ask that you give it a shot before discounting it.

The Nils Lofgren track should be enjoyed by most. This track has some bad *** guitar playing. I don't play, but my friends who do are blown away by this track.
The Fleetwood Mac mix is a bit different. It's easily recognized as a remix, but it has a lot of dynamics.
The (2) Colbie Caillat songs don't have a lot of dynamic range, and trend into clipping. The recording industry got to her, too. :( Still, I like the songs and they have a lot of 'atmosphere' to them.

The others are probably more well known, so I'll leave the commentary alone.

So, here you go. Feel free to demo them all you want, but remember to support the artist if you really like the music.

Erin,
Not trying to be a moderator...but...I'm not so sure you want to be making files available for download. This opens you up for some serious liability issues with everyone's favorite bloodhounds. It could also bring some unwarranted attention to the forum and hassle for the mods.

I'm sure they're be no problems making links to the actual albums that are available for purchase. Most sites offer 30 second snips of the tune.

The Nils tune is pretty cool.

I understand. If the mods think this shouldn't be posted, please let me know. I just wanted to share a few select tracks so people could hear something they may not have before.

I know of 3 guys already who've said they bought the Nils cd from a post I did on another forum. 2 Dire Straits cds as well. :)
