I foam at the mouth with mine... I really do

I have 4 Omnisats along with an Omni CC coupled with a Velodyne sub (Just purchased about 2 months ago)

. I started on my quest thinking Bose. Thanks to the good folks here as well as some good information from Al at Sound Advice I was steered away from those. All I had to do was listen to the Bose without the bass module and I knew that was not the choice for me. Let me tell you I looked, and I looked, and I looked. I have a large entertainment system, with a 57" TV. We did not want to go with floor standing speakers as we really did not have the room for them.
Truth be known I had no idea of this company. I was also looking at the new Xbox 5.1 system. I read an interview that one Game website did with the folks that made that system and in it they revealed alot about Mirage. SO I said hmmmm......
I listened to Polk, JBL, Klipsch, Paradigm, Bose, Energy...... and I must say wow. Any choice I made was going to be a great one for sure. But the sound comming out of the Mirage speakers was fascinating to say the least.
I have four as satallites, and I have the front two really at a disadvantage as I have them about 6 1/2 feet off of the floor. They are closer to the ceiling than they should be for optimal listening, but it is where they have to be. If you want to know just how well they disperse the sound I use them to play a trick on my friends. I have a Yamaha RX-2500 receiver (It's great

) I put my receiver on "2 Channel" with my friends standing at the couch. I then ask them to tell me what speaker is playing. All of them point to the Center Channell. The Right and Left Sats are about 4 & 1/2 feet away from the Center speaker. When I tell them that it is actually the two satallites they say "No way". They will then walk up to the center speaker and until they get right up to it they still do not belive me. Then when they realize whats going on they are amazed.
When you give these things some juice you will not belive that so much sound comes out of such a small package. And coupled with my receiver I am constantly amazed at how clear the sound is that comes out of these speakers.
When you pick up one of these speakers you are immediatly aware of the build quality. They have substaintial weight to them for their size. They are housed in an aluminum enclosure (Some review sites say that the housing is plastic, but if you look at the Mirage site and look at the brochure you will see it is aluminum) and the woofer is a combination of titanium and polypropylene, as well as a titanium tweeter. These speakers are not cheap compared to a lot of others, but they are extremley well built with a lot of high quality compontnts.
I probably use mine for 50-50 music/movies&TV. I work from home sometimes and when I do I put my Cable on a smooth Jazz etc. station with the TV off so I can hear commercial free music all day. The Omnisats still amaze me with their transparencey. The music is just "In the room" not really originating from anywhere. Crisp clean and natural, is the best description I can use to explain these amazing little speakers. I have friends who have Bose, Polk, Klipsch, Sony...... and beleive me when I tell you they are all truly impressed with my system, especially the Omnisats.
As you can tell I am really high on these speakers and forgive the long response. Beleive me I could continue but do not want to bore you with that. I will say that if you can go and listen to them do it for sure. If you are thinking of purchasing them, you can not go wrong I promise you. I really have not been able to find a lot of people who have them on this site, but these speakers are wonderful. As they are small they will need a sub to carry the lower end just like all smaller speakers. But you "CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH MIRAGE OMNISATS" plain and simple.
Hope this helps.
