Harmony software won't start

Hey guys

I have a problem with the MyHarmony software i wanted to change a little setting on my 650 remote but when i try to start the software it gets stuck on the loading screen at 50%. I did reinstall the software but it still doesn't work. I did a google search and i found on the logitech support website the tip to force quit the programm an restarting it but that didn't work either. Anyone with the same problem? any tips?

Note i Didn't use the software for a while (since my last change to the remote sometime in april) so i of course did install the updates when i started the programm and it said there is an update but ever since the last one it just get stuck on the loading screen.

yesterday i wasn't able to contact Logitech via hotline or mail, today did try to call them again but didn't get through but i was able to send them a mail. i Also did check if there could be a problem with my internet but no nothing wrong there. The remote itself works like a champ.

I hope your inability to contact them is a sign that Logitech isn't go under? That would suck big time

No i don't think so maybe it was just a little late when i called. When i send them the mail the auto answer mail from them said that they are very busy at the moment and that it would take 2 workdays to answer it. So we see. I gave it a try again today nothing has changed software still gets stuck at 50% on the loading screen.

Did it instruct you to go to MyHarmony.com? They dropped the old software and put up a link to this on their website. You can log in under the old user name and password.

no it did not the only thing it did when i started the software that i need to install the latest update i installed that and since then i have this problem before that it worked absolutely fine. Can you post the link? i will check if that maybe works.

If you want, PM your user name and password- I have a 650 and I can load the program & see if it works. If not, try doing the firmware update in Safe Mode- remove one battery, press the Power button and insert the battery. Once the remote shows Safe Mode, do a firmware update and update the remote. If that doesn't help, send another e-mail and include this step in the message. Also, ask for a higher tier of tech suport.

Just got a mail from Logitech tech support i deal with them first to see if they can fix it but if they can't i will send you a PM. Btw if that with safe mode doesn't can i still use it then or do i need to reprogram the remote?

It doesn't work in Safe Mode- that's only for recovering from some kind of problem. It will take firmware/programming updates in Safe Mode, though.

UPDATE! Problem is fixed! everything back to normal! There was ALOT of back and forth between me and email Tech support (which was excellent 10/10) they had me install a "special" MyHarmony version (so i could send a log file), try this, try that, a Terminal code (which seems did the trick) but today there was a silverlight update maybe it was that i don't know. Big thanks to @highfigh for trying his best to help. At least one problem less now i can focus on my search for new in ear headphones. xD
