I just bought a Harmony 668 and it should be here in a few days. I have searched for all the reviews I could find and found the one here on audioholics about it. I am now lookin for any tips or tricks about this remote as far as saving battery life by undoing backlight or anything like that. I am not against reading thru forums I just havent found any info on the 668. So any links or leads would be appreciated. Thank you

From what I remember you can set the backlite options in the L/H configuration software that you use to sync your remote. There are a couple backlite options in there. And if there isn't an option to turn it off, and you would like to do this, I would contact their customer support as they are very good, and are used to writing custom drivers, and tweaking your remote exactly how you like it.

Yes, you hook the remote to your computer and set everything to how you want it.

Yes no more button mashing, and looking up long strings of number combinations my friend.

I mean when you think about those old Sony remotes where kinda like playing Tekken. :)
