Hello all,
I just bought the HK AVR-630 from ebay, and it'll be here in a few days. Brand new, sealed in the box. It was such a good deal, and I couldn't let it pass up. I have been searching online for reviews on this model. And so far it's all good.
I'm considering getting the BIC Acoustech System, $799 for all the 6 speakers, 5.1 channel system, H100 Subwoofer, HT-75 tower, HT-65 Center, HT-63 and also considering getting the additional pair of HT-63 surround speaker for the 7.1 system for $169 for the pair.
From what I've read on the reviews..about the speakers..

I'm on a very tight budget..I'm in the process of working in the basement, completely refinishing it, adding a theater room. Adding a front projector with a screen of 110 inches wide, and just getting the "heart and brain" of the system..which is the HK AVR-630..I wanted to make sure if this kind of set up would work. Would the reciever have enough power to produce all 7.1 channel system?
What about "overheating" the system? It'd be mostly for movies...and some music. I'm pretty new to this audio thing..after all..I'm deaf, and I'm learning as I go along with this!
I'd like to have some feedback on the HK receiver and the Acoustech system together, what do you think of it, would it be a good set up for the price range that I'm try to save money on speakers? Tell me the pros and cons about this.
Thanks in advance!
