Buying hidef plasma 1080p panasonic p46g25 and also need to buy receiver.

I dint think I need to buy the newest hk receiver to use with plasma, however; my understanding is that the plasma is thx and Neither receiver is thx certified so I'm just wondering a. Whether this matters and b. If not, what are the diffs between the two?

I own an HK. I will never own another HK. Get a Denon, Onkyo, Marantz, or Yamaha. You don't need a THX anything. THX is just a marketing thing mostly. It has modes, but they aren't all that useful.

I agree. HK's HDMI implementation is incredibly buggy. Get something else.
