I've owned one for about two months now and I am really happy I got it. I think receivers are a lot like computers nowadays. They are all pretty good and it's the little things that make one product more preferable than another. HK has a really good rep for sound and reliability. I can attest to the 335 really improving the sound in my HT. The EZSet+ works great. IMO HKs are the best looking receivers out there. I was also attracted to the company for their honesty of their power ratings. There is a lot of debate about other companies (Yamaha, Denon.....) not being honest. I feel they are NOT. Not that don't build great products, it just disqualifies them to me.

The vibe I get from HK is that they spend more energy building quality stuff and less time with 75 chinsy DSPs.

One little annoyance: The receiver does not up convert everything to component and the onscreen menu does not work through component. Still I does not matter to me because I like to have different setting on my TV for my DVD, Xbox, VCR, so I prefer to switch the TV input anyway.

I have the HK 235 I am very happy with it. HK makes a very feature rich product. They even pay attention to things like color coding the speaker terminals, Front panel dimming, etc.

As mentioned in the previous post, Upconverting and OSD can be bothersome for some (but maybe not for you).

Whatever you decide, choose a product that meets your needs or you'll regret it later.

Sincerely,

if you compare this HK with a Yamaha with the same price: you might get more features on the yamaha and slightly more wattage.
