I have known this brand from way back 25 years ago with their Citation amplifiers. Harman Kardon have been in the business for the last 45 years and they made some of the best amplifiers that are conservatively specified and provided some of the most complete user manual available. I don't know about the new models now, but back then, even their user manuals came with technical schematic diagrams and board layout.
I have colleagues who use HK HT receivers and if you visit their site at
http://www.harmankardon.com/default_FLASH.asp
you'd find a wealth of information of their products and services. If I didn't get separates for my set-up, I'd be hard pressed to decide between a Harman and a Rotel. I'll probably get a Harman for its value. A Rotel can cost steeply for about the same specs in an HT receiver.
The AVR 7200 seems like their flagship HT receiver. I agree with you, there should be competent review on this product alongside the Denons, Yamahas, and Onkyos recently reviewed. It can be a eye-openner to learn first hand what a High-Current receiver conservatively rated can do.
