Alright guys,

I just recently received a HK3490 and the audio is great. (Not excellent, but excellent considering the price). The receiver and the DAC are pretty dang good again, considering the price. One of my main questions is if both speaker channel 1 and channel 2 can be driven at the same time? I haven't had the time to hook up my secondary pair of paradigm speakers, but I wouldn't if channel 2 can't be driven at the same time as channel 2.

Also, I currently have a pair of Energy RC10's connected currently (the paradigms are older, but by my ear sound MUCH better in terms of tonal balance). Now, I absolutely love the bass and the treble of the RC10's, as well the sound staging is better than some speakers that are twice the price. The problem is the mid range is just way too lacking. I don't understand and so I thought that I would ask.

My final question is, what should I aim for in my next setup as a step above this receiver? Would I just be better off going with a high quality amp next time?
