Harman Kardon AVR 1700 Set up issue

I am trying to set up my HK AVR1700 with my 5.1 H/T and music but I kind of ran into a problem. After watching several Audioholics videos on AVR set up procedures I tried to do a manual set up on my system that consists of Wharfedale Jade 3s as front speakers, an old CS Newton MC-100 for center, 2 Micca COVOs for surrounds and a newly purchased ELAC S12 EQ subwoofer that is controlled by bluetooth and an app.
I realized during the setup that the HK AVR has no way of changing the size of the speakers it only has a Number of Speakers sub menu? Does this mean that I must use the HK AVR EQ auto procedure to set up my system? Any and all advice would be welcome and appreciated.

I couldn't quickly find a manual for your receiver, but large/small only determines if the speaker gets a full range signal, or one that is crossed over to the subwoofer.

Thanks lovinthehd,

I also forgot to mention that I misplaced the owner's manual for my HK AVR.
I will definitely use the info you provided BUT due to the Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF) I moved the Wharfedale Jade 3s and the Elac Sub to my man cave which will be run off a Denon AVR-X4000. So now the HK AVR-1700 will be powering a pair of Goldenears Triton Three towers (with built in powered subs) as my front speakers which go down to the low 20s Hz, which I plan to set up with the built in HK EQ system then later I can try using manual set up to fine tune if I do not like how the EQ set up sounds. Once again thanks for your assistance.
