I am building my system and picked up a Middle Atlantic rack and found a good deal on a 20 amp 12 outlet power strip (also MA). But the strip has to be hard wired, there is no plug. can I get the strip and make a wire/plug that would connect thru the to J box at the bottom and plug that into my surge protector?

I think this is a simple questions just don't want to get it and be surprised that it will now work.

Thank you for the help.

I don't see why not. You can pick up some 12 AWG SO cord and a plug at home depot.
Take a look at the J-box and see what type of connector hole they have. They may require an MC or Romex connector. You can use the Romex connector with some SO cable.

There is a special chassis connect/clamp to connect a flexible cord to a 'j' box. But what is the 'j' box connected too?
