Hard Drive to TV?

I just got an external hard drive full of dvix and xvid videos, and I wanted to watch this on an old CRT TV. I am not able to use the PS3, XBOX or computer. Is there some way to do this?

I thought I heard about some sort of DVD player with a usb port and the capabilities to read these files?

But you need your external HD and this converter connected to your PC. And the TV connected to the converter.

Hmm... 2nd problem. I don't have a wireless network setup at this place.

Although, I have a laptop that has VGA output only.
