Nice setup you're putting together. You may want to rethink the Klipsch sub if you'd like bombastic bass. You'll find that the majority of HT bass heads find most Klipsch subs underwhelming, myself included. How large a space are you looking to fill (cu ft)? BTW, any of those receivers will power the relatively high sensitivity Klipsches just fine.

I agree, I have been referring to this site for some time now, but this is my first post on the boards.

Have you considered the rc-62 as opposed to the 52? Its a little more money but may be a better match with those towers.

more questions

another question i have is how important is high end speaker wire etc compared to the rest ...can i get away with buying a 100' of medium wire and do all my own connections or do i have to buy everything MONSTER.
can i use medium priced wire for some speakers and high end for lets say all the way to the sub?

Home Depot 14 ga. speaker wire is fine unless you have extremely long runs, then use 12 ga. Your sub connection will most likely require a single RCA, not speaker wire (unless you choose a passive sub and separate amp). Most home theater subs have internal amps and only need an RCA signal from the back of your receiver's sub output. Try to find a decent shielded sub cable that's half or less than the price of Monster. Most subwoofer manufacturers will offer cables as an accessory to the sub at time of sale and that's not a bad way to go, considering Monster as the alternative.

Monoprice.com is also a value conscious choice for wire and cables.

Frog,
Also check out the Yamaha and Denon receiver options.
For DVD, I would recomend one of the Oppo Digital upscalling players. I have the entry level DV970HD. For $309, you can get a toshiba HD-DVD player through Amazon and five free movies with the rebate.
