To the great mass of learned participants, this dilemma:
I'm ready to drywall my basement but have not decided on my choice of audio equipment ( the t.v. choice has been made - a 50" plasma wall mount ). The components will be stacked in an open angle cabinet in the corner to the left of the t.v. location. I have located outlets which will be hidden by the t.v. & the angle cabinet. I'd like to run ( hidden ) upgraded wire for the total system, but am at a loss as to what is needed to buy. I'll be spending about 2 -3g's on the surround audio. I'm pretty serious about Infinity's TSS 4000 series, but am still undecided. Receiver/Amp will likely be Denon, Yamaha or Marantz, with a PS2 for gaming & blue-ray; I'd like a multi-disc changer for parties as well.
Is it possible to "guess" the needed cabling or must I know exactly what's to be purchased prior to making any cabling decisions?
Thanks!
