Hairbrained Subwoofer-Room equalization plan?

It seems like a waste to tie up the diagnostic capabilities of the SVS AS-EQ1 just to provide on-going equalization.

With two 2.1 systems, is it possible to:
1) Use the SVS AS-EQ1 temporarily in room #1 to tune the subwoofer-room acoustics using it to analyze the room and an equalizer such as the Behringer DEQ2496 to provide the indicated compensation.
2) Once that is done, move the AS-EQ1 to reside in room #2.

Are there better options?

Thanks!
