So, does anyone here use/have experience with Hafler amps? It's not like I'll be buying one anytime soon (if ever), but I'm on a never ending quest for knowledge. Like RE Designs and Crown's Reference amps, they have strangely high THD for solid state amps.

I have 6 Haflers. Truly beasts that can dish it out with no strain. What size are you looking for, I may be interested in selling some because I don't need that many anymore.

You're making a mistake at only looking at harmonic distortion specs. There's alot more to an amplifier than that and manufacturers know that the average joe knows very little so publish those specs. Harmonic distortion in any modern power amplifier is not audible unless it's very poorly designed. Hafler amps are well built and designed and as many can attest last for many many years, far more than most modern receivers will. They will be very happy driving lower impedance loads like 4 ohm speakers, something many modern receivers have difficulty with.

I was assuming they were built like tanks, seeing how they sure look like no-frills pro amps (Bryston and B&K also comes to mind). Sorry Pete, but I have no use for those amps at the moment, let alone the cash. Thanks for the offer though.
