I got the KingKong DVD.

I have the King Kong DVD:

The audio and video of this DVD is spectacular. The bass, the surrounds, the music and center channel, all sound perfect. The last DVD I bought was Harry potter 4 and man what a difference.... you can really see all the details in Darks scenes, great colors and clarity, but the sound, ohhhhhhh man, you will need to buy a big surrounds because you can here Kong every were. Really is like seeing another movie (I saw it in a THX Theater here in Costa Rica , and even if I liked the movie, I didn’t like the sound and the some scenes look to fake to me, specially the dino scenes), but with the DVD all looks more real, is amazing. Every one that like Home theater should buy this DVD, even if you didn't love the movie, seen it in DVD is just amazing. It really is like seeing a whole new movie. I really recommend this DVD.

Specail edition 2 disk, should have DTS. I think there also an extended edition coming out.

There doesn't seem to be DTS. There's only DD5.1 with a standard bitrate of 448kbps.

It is one disc version with only Dolby Digital and almost no extras(one trailer and a Volkswagen commercial) but the sound is terrific so the video.
By the way I bought the DVD from a retail store so is not a illegal copy or something. I am not sure why they have it so early.

I thought this wasn't coming out until the 28th. Someone has an inside track?

It's a real copy of King Kong all right.
Maybe DVDs go on sale in Asia earlier...i mean almost everything new usually pops up in Asia first anyway.

Now I need some new surrounds- or maby mains? IDK, I already have my new AS-C1.2
