so i had to move all of my electronic stuff over the weekend because I moved into my first apartment. That ment taking out all of my cables from the back of my receiver. While I was pulling out my 5.1 ch analog cables from acoustic research both the famale and the male jack come with one of the cables. It really sucked. . . so I called H/K customer support, they told me that this kind of stuff is covered under the warranty and if i took it to my local recommended H/K service store, they would cover the costs free of charge. All i have to say is thank god. . . supposedly, something like this costs upwards of $150 (what the service guy told me). All i know is i would have been PO'ed if I would have had to fork over that kind of dough. Oh and by the way, the Harman Kardon customer service guy told me that circuit city does do servicing on H/K products. . . but that Harman Kardon strongly recommends people against taking thier products there.

Oh and by the way said:
Would it still be covered by the warranty? I had an issue before and the closest certified repair shop was about two hours away. If something goes wrong in the future, it would be extremely convenient if I could take it to Circuit City.

No if i were you i would drive the extra distance. I specifically asked the guy if circuit city does servicing, and he said yes but to not take your reciever in to them.
