H/K DVD 22 problem...

Well, for the past few months, my harmon kardon DVD 22 has been annoying me. The problem is that you can hear the dvd spinning while playing. It's a higher pitched sound & it's not a sound of plastic rubbing on plastic. It sounds like the motor that spins the dvd is what's making the noise.

Is there any sort of solution or troubleshoot for something like this?

you can try to line the walls of the player with dynamat to insulate the sound. only do it if there is space and be sure not to cover any vents. it's not a great solution since the vents let out most of the noise, but i tried it before and it lessened the volume for sure.

Motor is potentially starting to go bad. Dynamat on the inside may reduce noise, but it doesn't solve the problem unless it was always that noisy and you are just now noticing it.
