I am going to purchase the H/K 245 and wanted to know what is the best way to hook up my ipod nano.
It the receiver has a bridge hookup but i read bad reviews on the H/K bridge are there any other alternatives?

iPod docks are not required, they just provide additional convenience features like allowing you to view the track information on the receiver's display and controlling the iPod with the receiver's remote.

To connect the iPod directly to any receiver all you need is a 3.5 mm to 2 RCA cable and connect to any audio input on the receiver. To change the track that is playing on the iPod you have to do it on the iPod itself.
