Hi,
I recently purchased the Pioneer VXS-1122-K AVR and have been somewhat pleased with it except one major thing:
The GUI interface for SiriusXM, Pandora and Media Server.
The Media Server allows you to play music from Windows Media Player on your computer, through the receiver. My gripe is, when I want to play a song from my computer, the interface for selecting a song is ugly/poor and very time consuming. You must scroll through alphabetically, one by one, through each album or song or artist to get to the song you want. This takes an incredible amount of time. If I wanted to play a ZZ-top album it would take 5 minutes of clicking on the down button to get to it!! Ain't nobody got time for that!
The APP on android is just as bad, and wont' even let you scroll down correctly (you can flick the list so it goes faster, but it always glitches and goes back to the top. I have not yet been able to get to the bottom of the artist/song/album list)
The network connectivity is really important for me, so I have been looking for another reciever while I still can return this Pioneer.
My question is: does anyone own the Denon AVR-2313CI (or the 2113, or 3313, they should be similar) and havedused the GUInterface for selecting songs saved on your computer? Is it practical to use and changes songs easily and efficiently? Have you used the App on android to do the same thing and is it efficient?
Also, can you turn ON the receiver when it is off with the app? the Pioneer can only turn OFF the receiver, and can't "find" the receiver when it is off.
Any reviews on the interface would be much appreciated!
