Hello Everyone,

Two ground Qs:

1)

I'm upgrading the speaker output terminals of a Sansui G-7700. I'd like to change the internal ground wires that run to the terminals. (The speaker wires that will run from the new terminal, BJC 12G, run about 40 feet each.)

Any advantage in going to a larger gauge? The new terminals will be much, much bigger, and more robust.

2)

I need to ground the AC outlet to the radiator (90% sure the outlet isn't grounded, and getting it done right isn't really possible (landlord).)

What wire gauge should I use? Just solder it on a cleaned spot, right?

Thank you in advance,

JDH

Internal wires? Not really. Too short to matter.

That radiator may not be grounded either. Soldering would be out of the question, but clamping it to it is left. You would use the same gauge as the house wires, 14ga. The neutral wire should be grounded already though.
