<font color='#000000'>I have an older Sherwood surround receiver with some low-ish priced floor (6-7 years old) and bookshelf (12+ years old) speakers. Looking at gradually (as $$ allows) upgrading the system.

I stumbled on comments and reviews for Fluance speakers and am wondering if their center and powered sub would be wise buys, especially if I later upgrade to things like a low to mid Onkyo or Denon receiver and DVD. Etc.

<font color='#000000'>Hi Marcster,
I've never heard these speakers personally but I see them on E-Bay all the time. &nbsp;I would do some indepth homework before investing.

<font color='#000000'>Hi, after reading a bunch of reviews on the Fluances, I decided
to give them a shot. &nbsp;Instead of getting the AV-HTB, I spent
a little more and went with the SX-HTB. &nbsp;I'm really happy with
the main's, but the center &amp; surrounds (not as important as
the center) aren't that great. &nbsp;I did upgrade from a Sony
SA-VE325 cube/subwoofer setup, and the difference was a huge
improvement. &nbsp; With dual 6.5&quot; woofers, the mains leave a bit to
be desired when it comes to bass - I got a Adire Rava sub
the other day and I'm REALLY enjoying that. &nbsp;Anyways, my
thoughts after buying the Fluances were that if I did it again, I
would probably spend as much as I could afford on a very nice
pair of mains. &nbsp; When the funds get refreshed, get a nice center
and use your current speakers as rears till you can afford some
nice ones. &nbsp; Then again, I listen to more music than I watch
movies, so the mains are more important to me.

I might sell &amp; upgrade my center/rears, but I'm really happy
with the mains - especially for the $. &nbsp;Definately needs a
subwoofer tho. &nbsp; If you're interested in my center/rears, drop
me an email.

Regards
