Hello J garcia, I've been spending a lot of time on the GR site and talked with Danny. They seem to offer quality components for the money and I would have to spend a considerable amount more to get that quality with other assembled name brand speakers. I'm interested in the OB-5 line, open box design. I am a novice and have never assembled loudspeakers. Danny said the OB-5 was a somewhat more diffulcult build than entry level, but not much. There are also CNC flat pak cutouts of the cabinets available. My "sister" is an industrial arts major and specializes in wood working and has all necessary tools. I would appreciate any insight you may have to offer on quality and sound of GR research speakers. Thanks garcia for your time. Jeff
