Got to listen to some Orions tonight

I had a few minutes to listen to some Orions tonight. I met the guy at a local country club and we started talking golf and it somehow transitioned to audio. He has a pair of Acoustic Duos (which I've heard before) and recently got the Orions. I had limited listening time, but I was impressed. We first listened to the AG duos and the stage was massive and in your face. When he switched to the Orions, there was a clear difference. The dynamics were there, but they were definitely different. We listened to the live track "Your Latest Trick" by Dire Straits and I was pissed I couldn't get Marks autograph despite the fact that he was clearly in the room... the saxophone was unbelievable as well.... I'm excited to go back and spend more time. Really enjoyed listening to a world class system. His duos were powered by a BAT tube amp and the Orions by a mess of Lexicon gear... I can't wait to go check out more of it...

It was pretty cool. He's given away more gear than I could dream about owning at this stage in my life.

I at least hold out for a quality sub to boot.

I'm jealous, sorta, I really hate hearing speakers that sound better than I can hope to afford.
